ÇIMSA is one of the leading companies within the Turkish cement industry and has experience within several H2020 projects. CIMSA has 5 integrated plants, one grinding plant and 2 cement packaging plants in Turkey, as well as terminals around Europe. In addition to grey cement, ÇIMSA produces special cements like white cements and Calcium Aluminate and innovative concrete products to pioneer the Turkish cement building materials industry.

Main role within the project

ÇIMSA were the end-user from the cement sector and were responsible for the demonstration of the pilot plant for use-case 2 (Digitalising the cement plant) into WP5 for validation of the pilot plant. ÇIMSA supported the analysis of the plant and definition of the requirements (WP1), definition and integration of sensors and visualisation approaches (WP4) and provided contribution towards the development of training contents for digitalising the process industry (WP6).
