DFKI is the leading German research institute in the field of innovative SW technology. In the international scientific community, DFKI ranks among the most recognized “Centres of Excellence” and it is currently the biggest research centre worldwide in the area of Artificial Intelligence.

Main role within the project

DFKI developed models and tools for extracting knowledge from data in WP3, and developed smart sensing technologies based on visual perception and visual interpretation for all use cases in WP4. DFKI also developed optimisation tools for process improvement.
