SOLVAY is one of the world’s leading chemical companies. The La Rochelle plant in France is part of the GBU special chem, Solvay’s innovative solutions for growth industries initiative as part of the Solvay Group, is manufacturing speciality chemicals based on rare earths for the automotive and the electronic industries. The liquid-lquid separation process is key in providing pure rare earth solutions for the finishing units.

Main role within the project

SOLVAY will be the end-user from the chemical sector and is responsible for the demonstration of the pilot plant for the use-case 3 (WP5). SOLVAY will contribute to the smart factory requirements definition (WP1), definition & integration of sensors (WP4), and the development of contents & modules for digitalising the process industry (WP6).
